India Trip. What is interesting to me is that Karl Lagerfeld has never been to India, therefore India was the main inspiration to him in the pre-Autumn-Winter 2012-2013 collection of Chanel. Theme was Paris-Bombay, with extravagant handworked fashion pieces, like Nehru collared coats, hem dresses over leggings, fur-edged bouclé coats, pink chunky sweaters. I simply felt in love with pearl-swagged tweeds, lace flowers, silk tunics over leggings, peplumed jackets, ivory silk skirts. Some designs on models remined me French chics.
